What are our objectives and what do we do?

Our main objective is to enjoy singing.  Each year we give a number of concerts in the locality sometimes in support of charitable causes.  We also give occasional shorter recitals such as singing on stage in the foyer of Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff and at local residential care homes at Christmas.

Our repertoire.

We have a wide ranging repertoire, from early to modern music, from sacred to secular.  This includes madrigals, motets, shorter works such as Haydn’s Te Deum, Vivaldi’s Gloria and Fauré’s Requiem.  We also perform arrangements of popular and folk songs, and sacred anthems including works by John Rutter and other contemporary composers.

When and where do we meet?

The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Plassey Street. Penarth CF64 1EN from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.  See our ‘Contact’ page for location map.

Thinking of joining us?

A warm welcome awaits prospective members.  If you would like further information please visit our contact page or email our secretary. Membership of the choir is by successful voice test with our Director of Music and a membership subscription is payable.  Ability to read music is an advantage but not essential.
